I have wondered about setting up/participating in an underground railroad. I have friends who are people of color and may be targeted for one of those illegal “deportations.” I have started thinking about how that system would work and what we’d need to do/have. Also, life isn’t fair isn’t a permanent status. It’s a state, and states can be changed. Just because life isn’t fair doesn’t mean it couldn’t be. As you pointed out, why not take actions that make it fairer? Is the logic, no one helped me and therefore no one should help anyone? That’s just dumb.
