What you are describing is how people use the left lane during light traffic; a temporary labe to overtake one or several vehicles. During heavier traffic, most drivers don’t do that. They use the left lane as a, “fast lane,” rather than entering and exiting the middle lane repeatedly (which, strictly speaking, isn’t how you’re supposed to use that lane, but it’s how the vast majority of drivers use it). That’s usually when some asshole decides the, “fast lane,” isn’t fast enough and starts tailgating, forcing people to merge into the already crowded middle lane and slowing traffic even further.

Honestly, I think it’s partially that she’s never really believed in anything. She was a tough on crime DA until the George Floyd protests, and then she dropped that. She was a Medicare for All supporter until it looked like that would cost her with the donors, so she dropped that. She opposed Trump’s harsh immigration policy but was fine with Biden’s harsh immigration policy. She’s got no strong, principled stances, so when Biden tells her not to break with him, and her advisors tell her to campaign with Liz Cheney and Mark Cuban, she just does it.

That’s where I was gonna build the camps.

I want my son to grow up in a world with so much oversight and regulation that he takes government protections for granted and dismantles them for tax breaks. Is that so much to ask?

Of course they’re not as burned out as us; they’re younger and haven’t been beaten down for as long. I’m sure they’ll get there in time, but we need to stop this intergenerational infighting and focus on what’s really important: putting everyone over 50 in camps and redistributing their wealth.
